Due to needing to keep our invite list to a very specific number, only the exact guests listed within your invitation can be accommodated.
Dress Code?
We want our guests to feel comfortable and enjoy themselves! Because of this we have no strict dress code. However, it can get chilly when the sun goes down, so we recommend light weight semi-formal attire, with layers for the evening.
Are children welcome?
We love families and consider children a huge blessing! Lavender on the Lake is a working farm with a lake (and all the critters that come with it in Florida). We ask that parents supervise their invited children for their safety.
Is the Ceremony outdoors?
Our venue offers a beautiful field overlooking a lake, and we want to use this view and the less humid season to our fullest advantage. The ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting) as well as our social hour and a few offered activities. The reception will be indoors with dancing, food and fellowship to follow.
what weather should I expect?
February in Florida is typically highs of mid 70s, with a lows in the 50s. For those not accustomed to Florida, we recommend light weight clothing with layers for after sunset.
is there a suggested hotel?
We recommend hotels within the Orlando, Kissimmee, or St. Cloud areas.
Please note, these towns are large and a place within them doesn't guarantee a shorter drive. To be safe we suggest double checking the distance from the venue before booking your accommodations.
For reference, our venue is 30 minutes from Disney with tolls, and an hour without tolls.
